Todd Akin has taken a huge lead over Obama operative Claire McCaskill in the Missouri U.S. Senate race.

A new poll from NewsChannel 5 in St. Louis shows GING-PAC candidate Todd Akin taking a 51-40% lead over liberal Senator Claire McCaskill.

Akin is also doing well among female voters who are 35 and older. Women prefer Akin 53% to 39% for McCaskill. He’s within five points of McCaskill in the Democratic stronghold of St. Louis. Akin currently serves with honor in the House of Representatives.

McCaskill is an Obama political operative who typically rubber stamps whatever socialist boondoggle is being pushed by the White House. She’s a reliable vote for the expansion of the welfare state, and the protection of the abortion and gay rights agenda.
