Ted Cruz hugs his dad after his primary victory yesterday over GOP establishment candidate David Dewhurst.

Texans sent a strong message to Washington, D.C.’s political elites yesterday by electing Ted Cruz in the GOP primary. Cruz is a strong social conservative and GING-PAC endorsed candidate. He was favored by the Tea Party movement as well.

Cruz was running against GOP establishment candidate David Dewhurst, the Lt. Governor of Texas. Cruz stomped Dewhurst with 57% of the vote to 43% for Dewhurst.

Cruz will face former Texas state legislator Paul Sadler in the November election. Sadler is the underdog in this election and has a huge cash disadvantage.

It is likely that Ted Cruz, the son of a Cuban-American immigrant will be the next GOP Senator from Texas in November. His father Rafael is a pastor outside of Dallas who once fought with Fidel Castro in Cuba before Castro seized power. He became disillusioned with Castro and eventually fled to the United States with a $100 sowed in his underwear.

Cruz has been endorsed by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, U.S. Senators Jim DeMint and Rand Paul, along with GOP presidential hopeful Senator Rick Santorum (a GING-PAC endorsed candidate).

Support the important work of GING-PAC in helping elect men and women like Ted Cruz to the U.S. Senate in November. Donate to GING-PAC today! We must capture the Senate, maintain the House and take the White House away from the most aggressively pro-abortion, pro-gay, pro-socialist and pro-Islam president in our nation’s history.
