Ron Paul Supporters Heckle Rick Santorum
Jan 26th, 2012 | By fyork | Category: News Flashes
Rick Santorum is repeatedly the victim of Ron Paul supporters who make a habit of heckling him as he delivers campaign speeches.
The most recent example is in Florida, where Paul activists harassed Santorum as he spoke to a crowd of 500 in Stuart, Florida.
Please donate to Santorum’s campaign!
Javier Manjarres with the Shark Tank, describes what happened:
To add a little flavor to the event, Ron Paul’s supporters showed exactly why they are perceived as the ignorant, selfish, and disrespectful fanatics that they are. Ron Paulinistas disrespect candidates that differ in the slightest way from their ‘messianic’ and ‘pure’ idol, Congressman Ron Paul. Santorum, like many other candidates, will never be able have an intelligent and substantive dialogue with these Paul fanatics.
Santorum said it best when asked about his Ron Paul fans, ‘”Since he is not campaign here (Florida), I guess they have nothing better to do.” Ron Paul is not campaigning in Florida, even as Florida is seen as the state that could very well decide who the Republican nominee will be. Apparently, Paul does not think much about the Florida’s voting electorate, as he continues to poll last in Florida. Ron Paul finished last in the recent South Carolina primary election.
Watch the video of this disrespectful treatment of Santorum:

Ron Paul supporters shoule be ashamed of themselves.
They should not be heckling Rick Santorum. Rick has shown himself to be a person of moral standards.
He is not perfect, but a far better person than the hecklers.
Go heckle Pres. Obama’s people.
These Ron Paul supporters are so very rude.
I have not picked a candidate yet but they aren’t doing Ron Paul any favors doing this.
They are doing him harm some people might just turn away from him because of actions like these. If not they should.
I support Ron Paul and cannot condone such behavior, but this reflects poorly on only these particular Ron Paul Supporters.
I supported Romey, then Huckabee, then McCain last election. This time, I am supporting Ron Paul … though I will vote for whoever is the Republican nominee … which I would prefer be Paul, Santorum, Romney then Gingrich, in that order.
Ron Paul supports sound money policy, Constitutional government, low taxes and a balanced budget. His foreign policy is to defend America, not be the world’s police force, not to make the world safe for democracy (which is funny because we are not a democracy; democracies are DANGEROUS), not to build countries in our image. If this doesn’t make sense to you, you should reread the Declaration of Independence and the Founders. Oh … and he is pro-life.
We only have two political parties. One promotes socialism. The other doesn’t promote capitalism. Neither promotes humility or restraint. One party puts its faith in government. The other puts its faith in corporations. Ron Paul and the Founders put their faith in God and their fellow Americans. Me too. We don’t have time for a 3rd party, and Ron Paul is as close to a vote for neither party as you can get.
Everyone loses if Ron Paul is elected: the Democrats, establishment Republicans, Ben Bernacke, Wall Street, K Street, politicians, Congressional staffers, Washington D.C. realtors, government employees, union employees, defense contractors, green energy providers, corporate farmers, drug smugglers, foreign aid recipients, NATO and EU bureaucrats, U.N. ambassadors and employees, and so on (and this is the real reason why Ron Paul is unelectable, he is stealing too many people’s lollipops). No one wins if Ron Paul wins … except the American people.
You can focus on a few (or more than a few) poor mannered messengers or you can think for yourself and focus on the message. Gingrich is acceptable. Romney is good. Santorum is good. Ron Paul is better than them all.
Ron Paul 2012: Like signing the Declaration of Independence.
Ron Paul has always stood for the Constitution and against Big Government in all its forms. He doesn’t participate in the Congressional pension plan and he buys his own health insurance. Each year, he returns a portion of the money allocated to his office. He has lived in the same home for 40 years and has only been married once, to the same woman, Carol. By the way, Ron Paul’s 4-bedroom home in Texas is for sale, by owner, for $325,000 just in case anyone is interested.
Dr. Ron Paul is pro-life and during his time as a physician, he delivered some 4,000 babies. He would sign an overturn of Roe v. Wade.
Ron Paul has been warning about the creation of the welfare state his entire time in Congress. Of course, he has warned about the continued growth of our massive federal government and its intrusion on our individual freedoms by not voting for the Patriot Act or the National Defense Authorization Act, NDAA … the law that gives the president the authority to label any citizen a terrorist, hold someone indefinitely in prison with no actual proof and without the guarantee to a trial.
Ron Paul supporters may not always have the best judgment but they are rock solid in their support for Liberty, sound money, individual responsibility, small government, the protection of the Constitution … Ron Paul.
Come on board. Ron Paul for President.
Ron Paul supporters “heckling” Santorum? Pffft. Looks like the exercise of free speech by a voter who is entitled to both ask this candidate where he stands on the issues and also to point out this candidate’s, not so conservative, record.
You folks at Ging-pac say you support candidates who are pro-life, pro-family and who do not support the welfare state. But you say nothing about supporting the warfare state, which is what America has become, as we invade other nations and drop drone bombs via a computer. As we accidentally blow up innocents … babies, children, mothers, fathers, and grandparents, in search of just one alleged terrorist.
Tell me. Just how Christian is that? And, what about the Golden Rule? How would we feel if we were not a super power and a super power country like China started drone bombing us? And, what would Jesus say about our bombing and constant warring if he were alive today?
Ron Paul follows the Golden Rule of do unto others as you would have them do to you. He follows the Constitution and the wise and “divinely-inspired” words written by our Founders … words which state that our nation should avoid “entangling alliances” with foreign nations and use our troops to protect and defend our own borders and shores.
The Founders believed in opening up the lines of communications with all nations and establishing free trade with all nations, instead of waging unconstitutional wars against nations who are no threat to us militarily and whom have not attacked us.
Remember, none of the 9/11 terrorists were not from Iraq. However the majority, 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudi nationals. Two were from the United Arab Emirates. One was an Egyptian and one was a citizen of Lebanon. Also, Osama Bin Laden was also born in Saudi Arabia but lost his citizenship in 1994.
Despite this revelation, we have not waged war against Saudi Arabia. We did, however, wage war under the false notion that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, which they clearly did not.
Now, once again, they are beating the drums of war for the very same reason … the possible creation and use of weapons of mass destruction against Israel, even as Israel says it can and wants to defend itself.

Even as their Israel’s own defense minister, Ehud Barak, says Iran is not building a nuclear bomb.

We do not need another war. We are already broke enough. Vote for one who truly follows the Golden Rule. Ron Paul.
Well said Mr. Hubbard. I hope intelligent Christians will go to the links you provided to prove what you said is true, and they will wake up from the spell they are under. I was there just 5 years ago, I only listened to Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, and the likes on the Radio, and only watched Fox News channel. I started watching Fox Business and listened to a man by the name of Judge Napalitano, and heard Ron Paul’s message. It is so easy to get caught up in the “war-mongering” we forget what Jesus taught us. Thanks for putting it so elegantly.
I hardly call this “heckling” Santorum. Any political candidate is fair game when he gets in front of the voters, whatever candidate they are supporting. I saw plenty of that, firsthand, during a town hall my representative held a couple years ago. Back then, and now, people are impassioned and very upset over the fiscal path this country is on.
And, just how rude was it for those folks in South Carolina to boo Ron Paul when he spoke about following the Golden Rule, something not only We The People but also our government should do, too?
Rick Santorum was being asked legitimate and important questions about the issues facing this country. He was also being asked to confirm and explain his political record which he ran clearly wasn’t interested in doing. His record is not conservative .. that is unless conservatism is about supporting the labor unions and Big Government programs like No Child Left Behind, which was a dismal failure. It is correct that Santorum voted for other Big Government and bankrupting programs like Medicare Prescription Drug Program Part D and the equally bankrupting debt ceiling increases … five times, as the official record states.
Finally, please note the contribution of the SharkTank to this discussion. Javier Manjarres, and the SharkTank, are working on behalf of Florida Senator Marco Rubio just as they were during Rubio’s senatorial campaign. The same Marco Rubio who has vice presidential aspirations via either a Gingrich or Romney nomination.
Btw, you might want to investigate Rubio’s eligibility to be next in line to the presidency should something untoward happen to the president preventing him from performing his duties. Rubio was born to two Cuban citizen parents and even though Rubio was born in Miami, he did have dual citizenship, Cuban and U.S., because his parents were still Cuban citizens and not naturalized U.S. citizens at the time of his birth.
The Constitution expressly forbids that anyone who may assume the office of the president have dual citizenship at the time of their birth. Moreover, the parents must be “natural born” U.S. citizens … meaning they must have been born in the United States or on U.S. soil elsewhere.
Vote to legalize the Constitution. Ron Paul 2012.
These Ron Paul supporters simply reflect the candidate and shows who he really is! He is not a conservative at all and he hates Israel. Paul does not represent any of America except those who are confused and on the fringe of society. It’s sad to know, but they walk among us!
I agree with you. Ron Paul does not represent this country. He is 76 years old with a crazed angry countenance and is surrounded by youngsters who would not ordinarily be drawn to someone like him; Unless of course he will legalize all types of drugs, which he says he will do.
Where was there one time in this video that anyone acknowledge themselves as a Ron Paul supporter. Matter of fact, one individual indicated they were an independent. I know the inference is there because of the wording of the questions, but I would debate that these are questions that strike at the heart of the Santorum campaign and could be asked by anyone from the other republican candidates to democrats. I didn’t see any Ron Paul buttons, stickers, T-Shirts, etc in this video, and you all know how proud the Ron Paul followers are. So what if they were rude? Every campaign has these folks, time to quit whining and get out there and support your own candidate!
O.K. kiddies: Pick up your toys and go home. The hour is late and your bedtime is nigh. Say “good night” to Mr. Paul. It’s time for the adults to play. The Children’s Crusade has ended.
Great comment … Sorry for the delay in approval. This is an all volunteer organization and no one was watching the comments Friday night. We have to monitor comments because of some unfortunate comments by Ron Paul supporters that used the F bomb.
This is why we refer to these libertarians in Kentucky as Paul-bots!!!!!
Ron Paul’s extreme stance on “recreational drugs” has gotten him support from younger voters who regularly use them. Such folks do not mind interfering with the free speech of those they disagree with.
I think a better position is to quickly execute all drug dealers, before their friends spring them, as happens with most terrorists.
