Santorum Faith Family FreedomVerona, PA – Republican Presidential candidate Rick Santorum is the first, and currently the only, presidential candidate to sign the Pledge for Religious Freedom that has been co-signed by prominent religious leaders and groups such as: Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, Stuart Epperson of Salem Communications, Richard Bott of Bott Radio Network, and Dr. Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission.

Rick Santorum said: “I am proud to sign this common-sense pledge to promote and defend our First Freedom – that to freely practice our faith in private as well as public.  Our Constitution was made of for a ‘moral and religious people’ and it is critical to continue that tradition.  The current Administration has trampled on those religious liberties, most recently by infringing on Catholic moral teachings for the sake of empowering government.  As a Senator I was proud to author the Workplace Religious Freedom Act and as President I commit to ensuring those principles are preserved.”
