Republican Senator Rob Portman Now Supports ‘Gay’ Marriage

RobPortmanOhio Senator Rob Portman has announced that he supports so-called “gay” marriage. Why? Because his son told him he was “gay” two years ago.

According to Portman, he talked this over with former Vice President Dick Cheney (who has a lesbian daughter) and his pastor and has concluded that “love” and “compassion” taught in the Bible compels him to accept homosexuality and his “gay” son.

Portman has conveniently ignored the warnings against the sin of homosexuality in both the Old and New Testaments – and is accepting a behavior that may eventually kill his son from AIDS, other sexually transmitted diseases, or oral cancer.

Homosexual sex is ultimately just as destructive as cocaine use. Would Portman suddenly call for the legalization of cocaine if his son had announced that he was a cocaine addict? Would that be “loving” and “compassionate”?

Will Portman support “group” marriage – which is the next phase of the gay agenda?

What if his son had announced that he’s really a girl trapped inside a boy’s body – and wanted a “sex change” operation? Would Portman support his son’s mutilation of his male body to become a fake female? How would that be loving?

Or, what if his son had been involved in insider trading and ripped off thousands of investors? Would he support his son’s behavior and call for the legalization of insider trading?

What sort of core values motivate a U.S. Senator to change his mind about a sexually destructive behavior simply because his son is involved in it? What will happen to Rob Portman’s belief system when he discovers that his son is infected with HIV or throat cancer?

A person with a same-sex attraction has a treatable condition. No one is “born gay” and there is hope for those who want to overcome these destructive behaviors.

Keep spewing this garbage. Demonstrating that the anti-equality movement is being run by ignorant, hateful lunatics only helps our side. So thank you.

    “A person with a same-sex attraction has a treatable condition. ”

    Seriously? You truly believe this?

It is tragic that your radical jihad-like approach to the lives of others takes this sort of tack.

  3. Cristan says:

There is an actual Gay Agenda. It was published June 18, 2005. I’ve linked a copy to my name so that everyone can look at what the Gay Agenda is and what the goals are.

Everyone should be aware of what the Gay Agenda is and what it means!

    • Ali says:

Cristan, there is actually no specific “gay agenda” and the site that you referenced to has no linkage to a larger national group, in which conservative watch dog media outlets would like to ascertain. The link you provided this is short hand, affectionate label, for which this circumstance, a local Houston, TX community organization group has taken liberties with calling. Many LGBTQ Americans have social desires civil rights equalization on a federal level and have jokingly used this phrase. Many separate groups are advocating for the these rights on different levels, but to qualify this as a being “THE” agenda, you are truly mislabeling, and I would recommend re-framing your statements in order to more accurately describe your point and the groups in which you are trying to levy disagreement.

You guys will be lucky if someone doesn’t murder you all. You should all be killed. I hope you know that even if there was a god, it would not support your degrading bigotry. Gay sex CANNOT CAUSE THROAT CANCER. You guys are fucking morons with no scientific evidence and I hope you all contract AIDS from your heterosexual partners. CONSENTING LOVE IS NOT AND WILL NEVER BE A SIN. I wish I had explosives of some sort so I could rid the world of you fucked up, homophobic, religious pieces of shit. You do not deserve the right to live if your only goal is to take other people’s rights away. Just because YOUR religion says that YOU cant marry/date people of the same sex, doesn’t mean EVERYONE has to follow your beliefs. You know why? BECAUSE THEY ARE YOURS, NOT OURS.refheytukl

Actually gay sex does cause throat cancer through the constant presence of various infections… It also spreads AIDS and numerous other viral and bacteriological infections of the mouth and throat. Lets talk about “fisting” and the number of gay men that show up to hospitals with the resulting injuries. Just about everything homosexuals do to each other causes injury of some kind. You can pretend that having a penis stuck up your butt is love but that doesn’t make it so. Your post is up to show the true heart of “gayness” which is hatred, violence and bigotry. Anyone who doesn’t believe people are born wanting a penis up their butts you want murdered. Why? Because you want acceptance for something you know deep in your heart is contrary to the very nature of humanity.

      • Luis says:

Gay people aren’t the only people who fist my friend. I bet you’ll find tons of women being fisted online. We are all sexuality perverted human beings. The internet is filled with straights and gays doing perverted things in porno websites.

      • D.Bowie says:

I think some folks need to seriously learn some facts. Firstly, not every gay man engages in 1/2 the acts that you are so fascinated with. Secondly, even those that do, don’t have the issues that you claim they have.

If we were to follow your logic, we’d be calling for the banning of heterosexual sex in Africa since AIDS is most prevalent among heterosexuals with some areas having an infection rate close to 10% of the population.

All LGBT folks want is the same rights you already experience.

Imagine being told you can’t visit a partner you’ve spend 42 years with in the hospital because they’re on their death bed.

Imagine being told your partner of 5 years is sick at home and you want to take advantage of the FMLA and are denied.

Imagine you lose your job, but can’t be put on your partners health insurance.

Imagine you can’t hold hands in public without the risk of being attacked and killed for simply displaying affection.

Put yourself in the shoes of Matthew Shepard and then tell me that it’s a choice or that they deserve what they got or that they should be denied the same rights as you.

  5. Michael says:

Can “someone” explain why the term “gay” is in quotes throughout this “post.” Are you trying to prove a “point?” Are these “scare quotes?” Do you think “educated” people “write” that way? Did someone fail “grammar?”

  6. Richard Blohard says:

and that’s pretty funny “as destructive as cocaine use”…last time I checked it wasn’t the gays who were running around burning ‘witches’, desecrating others’ religious temples and faiths, starting wars, seeking to indoctrinate the world, having inquisitions, creating terrorism, poverty, and violence in the world….be real about the history of your ‘faith’ and what it’s really brought this world and you’ll see what’s more destructive.

I have a gay dad, one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. I never can be religious because to me religion is just hate. Hate for my family. Hate for the loved ones on my life. Was religion always like this? you guys are like the KKK. Anyone not like you who is a little bit different you hate and compare to cocaine lol. My dad is not this he is a great person. I will stick by him and die for him and my family any day. Now that is family values.

  12. Don says:

This is the only way they can get attention. They can’t make it basing anything the say on facts or on love so they need to do whatever will garnish a headline in the news. This usually includes lies and concocted story to justify their hatred and anger. Most of these folks call themselves Christians but Christ would have left them in the temple courtyard with disgust!

  13. Joel says:

It’s interesting how “Christians” (as you somehow call yourselves) are so quick to judge and ridicule others who don’t share your same viewpoints. God loves all of his children, it’s not your job to put them down, or degrade their sense of humanity, even if you don’t agree with their lifestyle “choices”–as you so frequently put it. It’s really quite sad how the Christian Right is so willing to use selective-memory and call up specific scripture to hold their head high, while ignoring the rest of scripture and the basis for what the Bible is all about. I left the church because of this very reason. It disgusts me to see how vile and inhumane you people are. God teaches love, and forgiveness. Not hatred and bigotry; it’s a complete shame. You are an awful example for what a Christian should be.

just a word on your comment “…may eventually kill his son from AIDS, other sexually transmitted diseases, or oral cancer”

    1) Christians don’t talk like that — have some manners

    2) sex outside of a truthful, committed relationship (!!) is risky for anyone, gay or straight – and it boggles the mind that you would want to undermine gays’ desire to have committed, stables relationships in their lives.

you don’t have to be a gay person to see this as a fairness issue. have a heart!
