Todd Akin has taken a huge lead over Obama operative Claire McCaskill in the Missouri U.S. Senate race.
Representative Todd Akin (R-MO), who is running for the U.S. Senate in Missouri, recently got into hot water over a poorly worded statement about rape and abortion during an interview.
Akin has issued an apology for his poor choice of words: “I made a mistake. I used the wrong words in the wrong way. What I said was ill-conceived and it was wrong and for that I apologize.
“Unlike Claire McCaskill, I believe that working to protect the most vulnerable in our society is one of my most important responsibilities, and that includes protecting both the unborn and victims of sexual assault. We must move forward and work together to replace Claire McCaskill in the Senate.”
In spite of his apology, many nervous Republicans have rushed to throw Akin under the bus – and thus give the pro-abortion McCaskill another six years in the Senate to help protect the killing of unborn babies. We will not abandon Akin.
Todd Akin is a long-time friend of GING-PAC and the Religious Freedom Coalition. He is a committed Christian and a principled pro-life advocate in the House. He believes that life is sacred – and that it begins at conception.
We have no intention of throwing our friend under the bus for political expediency. We fully support his candidacy for the Senate and will do everything in our power to see him defeat the pro-abortion Big Government liberal Claire McCaskill this November.

I don’t see anything wrong with what he said.
Can prolife strive to transplant a baby out of a mother that wants an abortion and plant it in another mother willing to birth it or a machine. This would give both sides what they want. Why have I not heard of any money going to studies like this. We could try it on mice or something and move up till the process works. If this couls actually work protecting the unborn would probably be a mute issue in the future.
Everyone mis-speaks at some point. Akin’s character and record are stellar. Conservatives need to stand with this good man!
