He is reacting to recent news reports of a Saudi diplomat in Northern Virginia who is under investigation for keeping two Filipino domestic workers as virtual slaves in his home.

Sen. Rubio sent a letter of concern to Secretary of State John Kerry about this scandal and other examples of human slavery being permitted in the U.S.

According to Rubio, the government “has the power to prosecute diplomats for engaging in modern-day slavery.”

The House Foreign Affairs Committee held two hearings last month on human trafficking. The committed found that an estimated 17,000 people are trafficked in the U.S. each year.

President Obama has made it abundantly clear that he views the Constitution and Congress as irritating impediments to his progressive agenda – so he routinely ignores both.

One of his un-Constitutional practices is using “recess appointments” to place his political cronies in positions of power within the government. The Constitution gives the president authority to make these appointments while the Senate is on recess – but Obama has decided to make those appointments on his own – even when the Senate is still in session.

The Constitution states that the Senate is to give advice and consent to his appointments for high office – but he ignores the Constitution and the Senate. He rules, in effect, as a tyrant.

Recently, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit Court ruled that Obama’s appointment of Craig Becker to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) had violated the Constitution and its recess appointment clause.

This is the second court decision that has slapped down Obama on his use of non-recess appointments to push his agenda. He simply ignored the first decision.

Obama has made 32 recess appointments since he took office in 2009 – and nearly all of them were done illegally – according to recent court decisions.

Putting aside the fact that Islamists around the world and in our nation are at war with America and want to destroy everything we hold dear, the Obama Homeland Security Department has decided to give special deference to these haters of freedom.

The Daily Caller has received a 2011 checklist of “do’s and don’ts” from Homeland Security describing how law enforcement officials should give special treatment to Islamists in the U.S.

One of the bits of advice includes: “Don’t use training that equates radical thought, religious expression, freedom to protest, or other constitutionally-protected activity, including disliking the U.S. government without being violent.”

The checklist also advises against using “moderate Muslim” trainers who are self-professed Muslim reformers because they “may further an interest group agenda instead of delivering generally accepted unbiased information.”

The checklist also discounts factual evidence about the radical aims of mainstream Muslim organizations – warning that these are “unsubstantiated theories” and “conspiracies.”

The checklist advises trainers to avoid assuming that Muslims are “using democratic processes, like litigation and free speech, to subvert democracy and install Sharia law.”

Read more on this at The Daily Caller.

Reprinted from the Thomas More Society web site:

CHICAGO, May 15, 2013– The Thomas More Society is speaking out about blatant bias by the supposedly apolitical tax-collection agency. Cases handled by the Chicago-based public interest law firm support mounting accusations that demonstrate the agency’s abuse of pro-life organizations, in addition to those identified as ‘tea party’, ‘patriot’, or ‘government spending’ groups. Outrage spurred by recent revelations of IRS discrimination against these groups has also led the Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus to announce a full investigation into the matter.

In one case, the IRS withheld approval of an application for tax exempt status for Coalition for Life of Iowa. In a phone call to Coalition for Life of Iowa leaders on June 6, 2009, the IRS agent “Ms. Richards” told the group to send a letter to the IRS with the entire board’s signatures stating that, under perjury of the law, they do not picket/protest or organize groups to picket or protest outside of Planned Parenthood. Once the IRS received this letter, their application would be approved. After a series of letters following a request for more invasive information, Thomas More Society special counsel Sally Wagenmaker sent a letter to the IRS demanding the tax exempt status be issued immediately.

Wagenmaker summarized her concerns about what she called “the IRS’s disturbing ability” to stall and suppress legitimate applicants. She explained how through lengthy questionnaires and wrong citations of applicable law (as in the case of Coalition for Life of Iowa), applicants with less fortitude or without access to legal advocates like the Thomas More Society will be effectively silenced from exercising their constitutional freedoms. Wagenmaker added, “The IRS’s role should only be to determine whether organizations fit the section 501(c)(3) test for ‘charitable, religious, or educational’ qualification, not to inquire about the content of prayers, protests, and petitions. It’s high time that the IRS be called to account for its workers’ potential to trample on our constitutional rights, through such ostensibly innocuous means…what the Ways and Means committee will discuss may only be the tip of the iceberg of IRS abuses.”

In another similar case, the IRS withheld approval of an application for charitable tax-exempt recognition of Christian Voices for Life, questioning the group’s involvement with “40 Days for Life” and “Life Chain” events. The Fort Bend County, Texas, organization was subjected to repeated and lengthy unconstitutional requests for information about the viewpoint and content of its educational communications, volunteer prayer vigils, and other protected activities.

“The application of Christian Voices for Life clearly indicated that the organization qualified as a charitable organization under section 501(c)(3),” stated Sally Wagenmaker. She added, “The IRS seemed to be intent on denying or delaying tax-exempt status based upon the organization’s pro-life message, rather than any legitimate exemption concern, through its exhaustive, cumbersome questioning. The implication that Christian Voices for Life somehow intended to engage in illegal activity was insulting.”

Soros front organizations like the Campaign Legal Center, Democracy 21, Center for Public Integrity, Mother Jones and Alternet have all worked to pressure the IRS to target conservative nonprofit groups.

The IRS then set up a system that flagged organizations that had the words “Tea Party,” “Patriot” in their titles.

According to CNS News:

Alternet and Mother Jones are both members of The Media Consortium, which is designed to do exactly what happened here. The Media Consortium was created to be a progressive “echo chamber,” where 63 separate left-wing media outlets can network and share ideas, as well as cross-promote stories. Other members of the Consortium include such liberal outlets as The Nation, Democracy Now! and The American Prospect. The consortium has also received $675,000 in Soros funds since 2000. Alternet ($285,000) and Mother Jones ($485,000) have both also received individual funding from Soros’s Open Society Foundations.

Not only did the IRS target conservative groups, but it released the confidential donor list of the National Organization for Marriage to the “gay” Human Rights Campaign. It also gave the leftist ProPublic the confidential applications for nine conservative groups who were seeking tax-exempt status.

In short, the IRS acted as a conduit of confidential information to leftist media outlets and to the most vicious “gay” lobbyist group in the U.S.

Last night, Obama held a press conference and said he had called for the resignation of the head of the IRS. What he didn’t say was that the IRS chief was going to resign next month anyway – so his press conference was just a sham and meaningless.

Read more on the George Soros connection to the IRS scandal at CNSNews.com.

The letter demands that Hagel explain why the Pentagon met with Weinstein, the founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation.

The letter outlines Weinstein’s outrageous remarks about Christianity and questions the reasons for the Pentagon agreeing to the meeting with him.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz is calling upon President Obama to tell Americans the truth about the Benghazi massacre, the IRS targeting of conservative groups for harassment and the truth about how much Obamacare is really going to cost us. So far, the president has failed to tell the truth on each of these issues.

As Sen. Cruz observed in the Washington Examiner:

It’s never comforting to have one’s longstanding fears confirmed. Yet, that’s exactly what’s happened over the last week as Americans have been presented with a stunning array of facts that diminish faith in our government.

Whether it’s on foreign policy, taxes, or the health-care system our lives depend on, members of the Obama Administration are making it harder to trust them to perform the most very basic functions of public service.

We deserve better. We deserve the truth.

President Obama, tell us the truth about what happened in Benghazi, the truth about political groups being targeted by the Internal Revenue Service, and the truth about how problematic Obamacare is turning out to be.

Cruz also wants to know the truth about the Fast and Furious gun running scandal that sent weapons to drug cartels. Attorney General Eric Holder still isn’t telling us the whole story about that tragedy – where an American border agent was killed by one of the guns supplied to drug runners by the U.S. government.

Cruz concludes by noting:

American society functions largely on trust. Without it, our laws have little meaning, and our people have no certainty. Simply put, a government that systematically misleads its people threatens the underpinnings of our democracy.

If Obama truly cares about uniting the country and moving forward, he must act to restore truth in our system of government. Please, Mr. President, tell us the truth.

That’s unlikely, given Obama’s shoddy record so far on truth telling. He lies to protect his power and privilege – and his “progressive” agenda – which includes tearing down America and helping our nation’s Islamist enemies around the globe.

The Congressional Prayer Caucus, co-founded by GING-PAC Congressman Randy Forbes (R-VA), is closely monitoring the relentless attacks on religious liberty in the U.S. Armed Forces. The situation is getting worse, not better and began in 2009, shortly after Obama took office.

In March 2009, atheist Mikey Weinstein got his first meeting with Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwarz. Weinstein is head of an outfit known as the Military Religious Freedom Foundation. It is his goal to cleanse the military of all Christian evangelization. He has compared sharing of one’s faith to spiritual rape and akin to treason against the U.S.

Thanks to an Obama Administration that is openly hostile to Christianity and Judaism, Weinstein is apparently being successful in his religious cleansing effort.

The Congressional Prayer Caucus has more on this story:

The Pentagon’s Problem With Proselytizing: Evangelicals lately have detected worrying signals from the military. Wall Street Journal: “So is the case about Pentagon policy closed? Not at all, say some religious-liberty advocates. For one thing, the Pentagon statement clarifying that military personnel would not be court-martialed if they ‘evangelize’ also said that ‘proselytization’ is considered a Uniform Code of Military Justice offense. Yet the definitions of those two words are almost identical: Merriam-Webster defines proselytization as ‘to recruit or convert especially to a new faith, institution, or cause’ and evangelize as ‘to preach the gospel to or to convert to Christianity.’ . . . The ambiguity of how these regulations are defined and enforced . . . could lead men and women in the military to fear retribution and choose to remain silent: ‘After all, who defines what is proselytizing and what is evangelism? What could seem to be a friendly conversation about spiritual matters to one serviceperson could be perceived or deliberately mischaracterized as ‘proselytizing’ to the person on the receiving end. The fact that this has been raised at all in such a subjective fashion could have a chilling effect on service personnel sharing their faith at all.’ If the Pentagon wants to reassure soldiers that they won’t be persecuted for sharing their faith, the fact that military leaders have met with Mikey Weinstein, founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, isn’t helping. Launched in 2006 and with $700,000 in reported donations in 2011, the foundation fights what Mr. Weinstein decries as the undue influence of evangelical Christians in the U.S. military. . . .

“The Pentagon is still struggling to contain the rumors that unsettled so many evangelicals in recent weeks. The erroneous reports do need to be corrected. But military leaders should recognize that the rumors spread far and fast in part because they were so believable.”

Pentagon Began Relationship with Anti-Christian Extremist in 2009. Breitbart: “The Obama-Hagel Pentagon is trying to minimize Breitbart News’ blockbuster story last week of top brass meeting with anti-Christian extremist Mikey Weinstein, whom we reported calls Christians ‘monsters’ imposing a ‘rapacious reign of theocratic terror’ and says sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the military is an act of ‘sedition and treason’ that must be punished. . . . The New York Times reported on Mar. 1, 2009, in a story entitled, ‘Questions Raised Anew About Religion in Military,’ that Weinstein met with the Air Force Chief of Staff, Gen. Norton Schwarz, on Feb. 24, 2009. The story noted this was the first time Weinstein and his Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) had ‘gotten an audience with a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.’”

Lawmaker: Military Developing Culture Hostile to Religion. Fox News: “Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO) is circulating a letter on Capitol Hill seeking assurances from the Department of Defense that the religious freedoms of service members are protected. He also wants to know who the Pentagon has been consulting with on revisions to religious freedom regulations. ‘Congress deliberately included religious freedom protections in the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) to address this growing pattern of hostility and to protect the constitutionality guaranteed right of religious freedom for our service members and chaplains,’ Lamborn wrote in a letter obtained by Fox News. President Obama took the unusual step of noting that the conscience protections were ‘unnecessary and ill-advised.’ Lamborn said the president’s statement – along with reports of Christianity under attack have raised ‘concerns that the military is developing a culture that is hostile to religion.’”

Michele Bachmann took to the floor of the House of Representatives to attack the ghoulish practices of abortionist Kermit Gosnell.

Rep. Bachmann, a GING-PAC endorsed legislator is currently under attack from The Daily Beast and has been ridiculed in the Huffington Post for proposing a 9/11 day of prayer for our nation. Bachmann is considered a “wingnut” by rabid leftists for daring to call on almighty God for protection and for being willing to stand up to defend the unborn from being slaughtered in abortion clinics run by degenerate killers like Kermit Gosnell.

Please support the work of GING-PAC in electing more social conservatives like Rep. Bachmann to the House and Senate in 2014 and 2016. And, please pray that God will protect our nation from the Obama Administration and the leftist fanatics who run the White House and the U.S. Senate.

Missouri Senator Roy Blunt (R) recently released a statement on the IRS targeting conservative groups during the 2012 election cycle.

Missouri Senator Roy Blunt (R) recently released a statement on the IRS targeting conservative groups during the 2012 election cycle.

According to Blunt, a GING-PAC endorsed legislator: “I am outraged that the IRS played politics and wrongfully targeted conservative organizations during the election cycle. I join my colleagues in calling on the Obama Administration to conduct a transparent review and ensure this type of behavior is not tolerated moving forward and Americans’ first amendment rights are protected.”

The Washington Times as well as other legislators are calling for an audit of the IRS in light of its admission that it had targeted conservative groups during the 2012 election cycle. One of those calling for an investigation is Michigan Rep. Mike Rogers, who is chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. “I don’t care if you’re a conservative, a liberal, a Democrat or a Republican, this should send a chill up your spine. This is something that we cannot let stand.”

The IRS had targeted groups that included words like “patriot,” “tea party,” or “9/12 Project” in them. The 9/12 Project is run by Glenn Beck.

The IRS demanded to see all of these targeted groups direct and indirect communications; present and past employees and their relationships; required them to supply press releases, interviews with news media, letters to the editor and op-ed pieces — and then told the groups that all of the information they were forced to supply would be made public.
