Libyan Ambassador Christopher Stevens killed by Islamists.

The American Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens and three of his staff member killed today by Islamists who fired rockets into the Embassy building. Stevens and his staff were trying to evacuate the compound when the Al Qaeda-linked Sunni group stormed the Embassy.

Yesterday, Muslims stormed the wall of the American Embassy in Cairo to protest the showing of a film made by an American pastor that is offensive to Muslims. They tore down the American flag and hoisted up a black flag with the words “There is no God but Allah, and Mohammad is his messenger.”

The Embassy officials apologized to the Muslims for the film!  The Embassy stated:

“The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.”

The White House later issued a statement saying that the Embassy apology had not been cleared by the Obama Administration.

Since the killing of our Ambassador in Libya, Obama has condemned the attack on our Embassies in Egypt and Libya.

Obama, of course, has been largely responsible for the violence in both nations. He pushed Hosni Mubarak out of Egypt and engineered the ousting of Muammar Ghadafi in Libya. Both were dictators, who have now been replaced by radical Islamists. Obama’s “Arab Spring” has been a victory for Islamists and terrorism.

Obama has also recently rejected a request by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The Prime Minister will be in New York to attend a U.N. conference at the end of September. Netanyahu indicated that he would be willing to meeting Obama in Washington, D.C. White House officials said Obama was too busy to meet with Netanyahu. This is just one more slap in the face to Israel, the only working democracy in the Middle East, while Obama coddles Islamists and looks the other way while Iran completes its nuclear warhead project.
